Today we're welcoming 14 schools from throughout the state to Garber for our annual Theatre Arts Festival. It is an extraordinary showcase of remarkably talented young people. Shows run all evening Friday and all day Saturday. Admission costs just $10 per day. It is always a fantastic time.

Copies of the tickets are available in Garber's front office. We are doing this fundraiser to help re coop the cost of the our bus costs. Please support us!!

Garber students are recognized each day for the many ways they uphold our Duke Values. Each week, Duke Values tickets are drawn for prizes with winners from each grade.
Congratulations to this week's winners: Cecilia, Drew, Samantha, Elijah, and Olivia.
Special thanks to Bay Landscaping and Prime Brothers Furniture for sponsoring the prizes for this week's winners.

Garber Boys Basketball games scheduled on Thursday, December 22nd, have been moved to 4:30 for JV and 6 pm for Varsity due to the weather forecast.

The Bay Area Community Foundation's general scholarship fund is still open! The majority of these funds are for Bay and Arenac County seniors, but there are funds for current college students too. Some funds are based on grades, others on volunteer work, the essay they have to write, financial need, involvement with sports, etc.
The application link is below. Scholarships are due February 7.

Don't forget! Garber's National Honors Society is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Project Duke Fund in the form of a clothing sale. Orders can be placed online by clicking the link below through December 14. You can either pick up your orders at Sandlot (on Euclid) or opt to have a student deliver to your house. Unfortunately, the items won't be available for pickup until after Christmas in early January, but it is for a good cause so we wanted to press on.
There are multiple designs (see attached) being offered thanks to the creative ingenuity of senior Ella Wagner :). Long sleeve shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, and quarter zip pullovers are available in various colors.
The Project Duke Fund silently helps with many endeavors in the EHPS community. When students have a need, such as needing new shoes, clothing, gas cards, glasses, school supplies or even if families need help with utility bills, the Project Duke Fund is there to help. It wouldn't exist without the generous support of our community, so we are hoping to add to the giving pool with this fundraiser. Thank you for support!

The can/bottle drive benefitting Mrs. Reder is still active through November 11!
This effort is different than most, because students will come to you to pick up your cans! You can also drop them off at a student's house. Fill out the survey linked below to coordinate a drop off/pick up time with an NHS member.
Students will get 1 hour of volunteer time for every $15 they return. THIS IS NOT LIMITED TO NHS MEMBERS. Non-NHS students are more than welcome to reach out to family and friends and return cans as well and record their hours.

This week Mrs. Blair and Mrs. Wilk's culinary classes made grab and go breakfast meals and several freezer dinner meals for the Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw. They made breakfast sandwiches, breakfast muffins, pancakes, chicken pot pie, a lasagna casserole, pizza pasta bakes, and chicken cordon bleu casseroles. The students learned a great life skill and were able to help out a wonderful charity at the same time! HHH provides lodging and support services for out-of-town families, caregivers, and patients receiving medical treatment at Covenant.
Special thanks to Student Council and NHS for donating the groceries with money they raised.

NHS is coordinating a can and bottle drive through November 11. All of the money will go to Mrs. Reder, our wonderful ELA 11 teacher who is currently battling breast cancer. 💪
