History of Cramer

Cramer Junior High was built in 1969 and was originally named Essexville-Hampton Junior High School. In 1979, the school was renamed Quinten E. Cramer Junior High School in honor of the Superintendent of schools. Throughout the years, the school was home to 6th-8th grades. In 2013, the district closed one building and 5th grade was moved to the junior high.

The school mascot was originally a Knight, however in the early 2010’s and to be consistent throughout the district, the mascot was changed to the Dukes. The school colors are Columbia Blue and Naval Blue.
