Bush Elementary

W.R. Bush Elementary School Mission Statement: "Every student will learn to be a self-directed learner and will become a contributing, caring citizen through home and school cooperation.”

About Bush Elementary School:
Bush Elementary is a Young 5’s, Kindergarten, and first Grade building. We currently have 2 sections of Young 5’s, averaging 15-19 students each. We have 6 sections of ½ day Kindergarten, averaging 20 students per section. Our First Grade students make up 5 sections, averaging 23 students per classroom.
Bush students benefit from an excellent learning environment, a highly qualified and caring faculty and staff, and many special classes and activities ranging from music, Media Center story time, physical education, and computer lab activities.

School Wide Theme for 2009-2010:
Our school-wide theme this year is “Destination – Read Around the World.” This year’s Book Fair was centered upon a hot air balloon theme. We hosted a family read-in evening, and we “Read Around the World!” The students love to read and to have stories read to them.
Once again, the Bush parent volunteers constructed a float, Surfin’ Safari, for Garber’s Homecoming parade. Along with this project, our volunteers extend a very helpful hand throughout the school year. Parents and families are always welcome in our building, and we appreciate the assistance they provide to our students.
